Our Founder.

At the heart of Mondo is founder and gelato artist Rio Olivetti, whose approach blends technical precision with a genuine sense of joy. Trained in Bologna under masters of traditional Italian gelato making, Rio brings a deep respect for craft, balance, and quality, paired with a curiosity that keeps things playful. For him, gelato is both discipline and freedom, something refined but never rigid, always evolving, always made to be shared.

Our Home.

Mondo’s home reflects that same philosophy. Housed within a heritage building that has stood for over a century, the space honours what came before while inviting something entirely new. Warm tones, sculptural details, and subtle references to travel and time create an atmosphere that feels familiar yet transportive. It is a place designed for lingering, for conversation, for watching the city pass by with a scoop slowly melting in hand.
